To capture every detail, the  PowerShot SX120 IS incorporates a ten Megapixel sensor with Canon’s robust and smart DIGIC four processor guaranteeing wonderful reply times and natural color reproduction. DIGIC four also looks after tough lighting conditions with i-Contrast a technology which forestalls highlight blowout, while keeping shade detail.

By analysing folks, distance, lightness and color in the scene, the camera instantly selects one of eighteen scene variables to optimise settings for the best results – freeing the user to focus on picture taking, while the camera looks after the technical details. Framing and reviewing shots is easy too, due to a bright 3.0 in. LCD with wide viewing angle. A full manual control mode is also provided excellent for users who would like to experiment with their shots.

The PowerShot SX120 IS also includes the newest DIGIC four Face Detection Technology which recognizes up to 35 faces in a scene and mechanically adjusts key focus and exposure settings to guarantee everybody looks their best.

This technology includes auto Red-Eye Correction, Face Detection AF / AE / FE, and Face Self-Timer a feature that’s superb for group shots and self-portraits as the camera waits till it spots a new face in the frame before taking the shot.
