We haven’t any reason to question that Apple will continue to supply comparatively reasonable, capable home systems. If you try a number of shops, you should be able to discover a more than sufficient gaming or digital design box for between $2,500 and $3,500. We still will not recommend an Apple for gaming, though , so if that is your target, it’s Windows for you. The graphics card issue is a bit stickier.

Which one will be better for next-gen DirectX ten games we will not say, as the games with which to correctly test them are not here yet. If gaming is your chief concern and you can put off your purchase for a little whilst, you may wait till the shooter Crysis comes out ( allegedly this Sep ).

If you demand high video quality, you could sacrifice some of that caability if you select a lower-end system. As an alternative, you can get a bigger A / V component-style case with a full-fledged video card in it to help with the video processing.
