Desktop Computer Reviews:Maingear Ephex

Maingear’s Ephex is the quickest PC we’ve evaluated, and also the costliest. You’ll find better service policies from other boutique Computer vendors, but the Ephex’s overall speed and build quality are sufficient for us to endorse it to those in the marketplace for the best desktop they can find.
The liquid cooling plates on the graphics cards hardware obstruct the free card growth slots, but that is our only major complaint.
Adding hard drives is easy with outward facing drive bays, and overall both the external and internal appearance of the system show that it was constructed with great care.
Maingear Ephex provides you with the standard complement of 7.1 outputs, an analog line-in, and also both optical and coaxial S / PDIF inputs. There is no HDMI-output built into any of the 3 graphics cards, so you will need an adapter if you’d like to use the system’s Blu-ray drive to look at films on a high definition TV.
A media card reader and a second CD drive expand your media input options. There is no wireless networking, but we also don’t look forward to finding Wi-Fi in a massive full tower desktop.
Aggressive over clocking leads to record-setting application and games performance; tri-SLI 3D cards give you lots of headroom for games down the road; fast solid-state boot drive and plenty of secondary storage space; expertly assembled.
