The Samsung Rogue is a great multimedia touch-screen messaging phone for Verizon Wireless customers.It has a gorgeous display, a 3.5mm headset jack, a great keyboard, and a powerful array of features that encompasses a 3-megapixel camera, GPS, and a HTML browser with Flash Lite. Verizon’s Samsung Glyde had its share of faults, but we were fond of the Samsung Impression for ATT rather a lot.

Luckily, the new Samsung Rogue for Verizon Wireless isn’t slow. Not only is it a touch-screen and keyboard combo handset, but also it has a comprehensive gorgeous AMOLED display, a 3.5mm headset jack, and voice dialing. It also has lots of top-end features, like a HTML browser with Flash Lite support, GPS, EV-DO Rev. The Samsung Rogue is available for $99.99 after a two year service agreement and a $100 mail-in remission, which is kind of reasonable. Do note the Rogue SCH-U960 is one of some non-smartphones from Verizon to want an information plan–either $9.99 for 25MB a month or $19.99 for 75MB a month. The Rogue’s most galvanizing characteristic is unquestionably the 3.1-inch AMOLED ( active-matrix organic light-emitting diode ) display.
It is simply beautiful, though it suffers a little under direct daylight.

With support for 262,000 colours and a 480×800 pixel resolution screen, colors look colourful, pictures are bright, and text is tack pointy. You can adjust the back-light, the dial font size, the menu font style, the clock format on the home screen, and the transition effect between menus. The touch sensitive screen interface is kind of intuitive and simple to use as well. There is a touch calibration magician setting so you can tune the responsiveness.

We like that the screen has vibrating feedback–you can even adjust the length and power of the vibrations. The Rogue supports Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, which offers a collapsible toolbar with shortcut widgets. Some of the more helpful widgets include one-touch access to social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, and Twitter.
