motorola evoke qa4 300x200 Cell Phone Reviews: Motorola Evoke QA4

The Motorola Evoke QA4 has a strong build and an engaging slider design. It offers good call quality and a valuable set of integrated 3rd party applications. It’s multimedia features are rather tasteless. It suffers from lethargic performance and unintuitive touch-sensitive screen.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 has its good points, but we were unable to get over its slow performance, average media features, and clunky touch sensitive screen. As such, it does not awaken much.

Though it’s barely revolutionary, the Evoke’s design has its good points. We like its oval shape, silver and black color range, and soft-touch material that covers its back side. At 4.25 inches by 1.99 inches by 0.68 in. and 4.25 oz., the Rouse is quite smaller than most touch-screen phones, but it is simply conveyable and it has a strong feel in the hand. What’s more, we welcome the vicinity sensor and accelerometer, whether or not the latter feature only works in some applications.

On the other hand, the 2.8-inch display is too tiny for a touch-sensitive screen and its low resolution ( 65,000 colours, 400×240 pixels ) does not provoke. Graphics and footage are not outstandingly pointy, colours are muted, and the entire effect is rather dim. We also found the customization options lacking ; you can alter just the wallpaper of the home screen, the back-lighting timeout and the power of the vibrating feedback.

The Evoke has a 1,000-contact phone book with room in each entry for six telephone numbers, an email address, a URL, and a postal address. You are able to save callers to groups and pair them with a photograph and one of ten polyphonic ringtones.

Other essentials include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, a notepad, an alarm, a world clock, a calendar, a calculating machine, and a speakerphone. You can also use Cricket’s MyBackup service to store your contacts on Cricket’s servers.
